Emmett's Clay Gallery
Small Animal Sculpture

Planning:
I looked up a photo of a bass you put up on the wall and went off of that with low fire white.
Process: I used a signing tool and my hands to create the form of a fish. and added fins and made a sphere for the eye. I also used the signing tool to create detail
Reflection: Over all I was satisfied with the way it came out. I liked the way the eyes came out and I think I did well sculpting it. However, I wish I put a better layer of glaze on it. I also shouldve sanded down the imperfections.

Pinch Pot, lid, cut in half

Relief Tile
Planning:
I watched the pinch pot tutorial and followed it. And I wanted it to be big enough to put candy or something in it.
Process: I followed the tutorial. Once it turned leather hard I used a sponge and a wheel to create the rivets. Once it was fired once I glazed it with Emerald, light blue on the inside.
Reflection: I was happy with the shape and compact size. But I was not happy with the dark green when I anticipated light green. BUt I was happy with the blue.

Historical Piece

Planning/ Research:
I was inspired by native American totem poles with the faces stacked on top of each other. But I wanted mine to have an unique spin and purpose to myself. So I made faces with tongues that would hold guitar picks.
Process:
I made a tube like pole and carved in the mouths and the eye sockets. I used spheres for the eyes and made each tongue seperately. Once it was fired once, I used the bluch pink for most. Candy apple for the tongues and tuxedo black for the eyes.
Reflection: This is my best job glazeing I believe I've done. I ws happy with all of the colors/ consistency. Exept I wish I mixed Candy apple and blush to make the tongues lighter
